So. Watchman, eh?

Finally went to see it with M. Yanno, sometime I need to sit down and figure out how i feel about the “who watches the watchman” plot– it’s running rampart right now. Batman, Watchman, Civil War, The Incredibles, etc. Because, yes, I probably would rather have police then vigilantes– but I still love me my superheros, like Cap and Ironman .

Anyway, I did love all the gay in Watchman. And yeah, the comic has a serious case of All The Gays Are Dead at the end, but it’s less prominent in the movie. I also love how they play Ozzimandias- strong and smart and clever, and yeah, a villain– but they actually manage to get across his worldview enough (the pharaoh thing, the empire thing, etc) that his Evil Plan To Save the World makes sense. Also, flaming. But not the typical gay villain– Ozzy totally kicks ass.
Also, I kinda want to read some Rorschach&Nite Owl II. There’s totally something going on there, and my slasher goggles cannot be stopped.
